i have been posting about this since the event. we tracked it across the pacific. i have been warning about it's approach. it's here. when fuku blew up the tsunami debris field was close ashore. the prevailing winds were offshore so the nuclear fuel landed on the debris field. this is FUEL not just radiation. a single iota of it is quickly fatal. if you have ocean front property in the area now is a good time to sell it.

It did not disintergrate. The core, which consists of hollow rods containing a zillion tiny fuel pellets, blasted the pellets upwards like a shotgun scattering them far and wide. They have found them 400km from the plant. The pellets are small enough, and were blasted high enough, to be carried intercontinental by jetstream.

While they consider the radiation fukushima is dumping into the ocean via cooling water all the experts are ignoring an important aspect of the situation.
When fukushima exploded, all the fuel pellets rained down on the debris field. True that some of it was washed off in the transit of the ocean but also equally true is that a LOT of it will be floated here. One pellet is enough to kill a lot of people. When the debris field arrives and pellets wash ashore no one will be able to use the beaches any more.
My secondary concern, also ignored by the experts, is that terrorists will have a source of material to make dirty bombs.
Because the plant blew UP before it melted DOWN. The radiation traveled on air currents before it Fell down. One that exploded was like a nuclear cannon, shooting fuel pellets into the stratosphere to be carried far and wide by air currents.

A politicaly correct CYA way to say a core has blown out into the pacific. This would be the second one to do so because there were reports of the sea boiling soon after event started.
